Terms of Use (End User Agreement)
1. Welcome to eddi
These Terms of Use apply to all individuals (including but not limited to, students, teachers, staff, and guardians) logging into the eddi platform. By accessing eddi, you agree to follow these rules.
2. Account Security
Your account is assigned to you by your School. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your password, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) codes, or account access with anyone else. eddi staff will never ask you for your password.
3. Acceptable Use and Code of Conduct
eddi is a secure educational environment. When using the platform's interactive features (such as forums, file uploads, online meetings, or direct messaging), you agree not to:
- Upload, post, or transmit any content that is bullying, harassing, discriminatory, or inappropriate for a school setting.
- Impersonate any other individual.
- Upload files containing viruses, malware, or code designed to disrupt the platform.
- Attempt to bypass security controls, access data belonging to other users, or reverse-engineer the software.
4. Monitoring and Suspension
Your School's administrators have visibility into your use of the platform, including forum posts, submitted tasks, and uploaded files. If the eddi platform detects a potential violation of these rules, it may automatically notify your school's administrators. Your School reserves the exclusive right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform based on their internal behaviour policies and disciplinary procedures.
5. User-Generated Content
When you create content on eddi (such as a portfolio item, a forum post, or an assignment), you or your School own that content. You grant eddi the technical permission required to store and display that content as part of the platform's normal operation.
